Bassist and multi-instrumentalist Dré Matsumoto has released his debut album, Patchouli, which is out now. A powerful collection of original compositions that introduces his love of jazz-fusion-funk music and Japan, the 12-song set features Matsumoto’s jazz funk fusion which comes through loud and clear. The album is introduced by the lead single “Minato Mirai 21” which shows off Matsumoto’s deep musicianship and jazz styling admiration for Esperanza Spalding.
